In 2008, my husband and I were asked to lead a church service at an assisted living center. Neither one of us had any experience in such an endeavor but we showed up the first Sunday in faith and trust that God would lead us every step of the way – and He did. But more than that, He gave us a heart and a passion for these wonderful elderly people that changed our lives. We shared love and life with them – beyond our weekly church services. We were there for their holidays, birthdays, and other special occasions. We became a part of their family and they became a part of ours.
320 Ministries International was formed to bring awareness to the community of the need and importance of reaching out to the elderly population living in senior home facilities. Many have been put in these homes without a lot of contact from their family and friends. It is these “forgotten ones” that desperately need us to come to them – to provide for their emotional and spiritual needs – and to bring to them a message of hope and purpose for their remaining years. We have done this through weekly church services, bible studies, holiday celebrations, and other special events. It is our goal to inspire others to do the same.
My husband Jimmy has now since gone home to be with the Lord, but what he left behind and the message he shared I pray will continue on through 320 Ministries International. I invite you all to be a part of it!
